Southern "formal" send off - inc. local Mayor.

Well folks, school has got behind the event, the school council has adopted our charity as one of its two, so money is gained by our charity events, although I may not be able to quantify it towards our target. It is also one of our town mayors charities for this year, again gaining via another route.

The Mayor is going to attend a send off from the school at around 4 pm on Thursday 19th June. I'm also going to invite the press, so hopefully at least some local paper coverage.

So, I'd like to invite as many localish xrvers as possible to the send off. It will be from a school in Leighton Buzzard.

I'm riding up to Durham (ish 4 hours) on the evening, and will hit a couple of pubs in the town for donations that evening (for those that know, the Elm Tree and the Angel), hopefully about 9 30 pm.

Organisation - wise, pm me for an address/post code and name for the school.

Anyone up for coming to an assembly some earlier time too?
(My bike will be cleanish, honest!)

If I can - I will

I've emailed our local rag several times as they are always looking for local stories about the goings on of local people - not even deigned my emails with a response, never mind any interest.

OK, I'm not going to do the assembly beforehand.

(Personal reasons from our pupils)

BUT the mayor/press etc is still on, so the more the merrier!!
