    TLD 2009

I'v just been having a look at the Iron Butt site and it looks like a new certification is available (this might be old news, but I'v not seen it before)

    The 4 corners ride,

    Lands End. England
    St David’s Point. Wales
    John O’Groats. Scotland
    Lowestoft. England
    Minimum 1475 Maximum 1896 Miles
    (It's a 36 hour certification possibly a 48 hour one)
anyone fancy this for TLD 2009?
This for me would be better than the chase the sun ride (it's more a challenge than a jolly holly)
    Any thoughts????

mental, guess you would not get 45 folk doing that one.. sounds more like a separate small Hardcore group thing than the E2E charity event ..

    I'll play too.

It wouldn't be a lump harder then TLD 08, given we did 500+ miles on the Fri, 4 hors sleep then to LE. This one could run "past" peoples houses on a sort of big circle, with 36 hours to play with.

make sure your chain is ok this time or super Mel is riding sweeper again

Your right Mudz, I set off for JoG from Aberdeen 2 pm ish on the Friday, 250 that day then 870ish then next, then 300 to the cotswolds as I was taking my time to get back, but had I done it in a oner ( 10hrs )...., I know load of folk did much more, so its not that much more then the E2E we did, when you take in the travel up & down man that RD01 seat is mean... may need another few months of the couch to recover )

    ok just plugged this mapsoure..

home to Lowestoft to LE to St Davids to JOG to home 2200 miles 36hrs 51min riding time..... would need to be a 48hr challenge, given LWD was 13-16hrs ...... that would give 12hrs resting!!! in 48hrs need to plan fuel 24hrs stations etc... and there would be night time riding on this one.....

mm wonder if Robster would lend me the flying couch??
