Hi there
I'm head of fundraising for the Spinal Injuries Association (SIA) and we are organising an fundraising Motorbike Ride later in the year, I was hoping I might be able to raise awareness of the challenge on your forum by posting something like the following? Please let me know if this is possible.
Very best wishes
Gwen
Spinal Injuries Association (SIA) are looking for intrepid bikers to join them on their India Motorcycle Challenge from 14 - 24 November 2009
This motorcycle challenge is designed to ensure that those taking part get an intimate and once in a lifetime experience of Rajasthan.
We will ride from Delhi to Agra, through Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Pushkar,
Jaipur and Agra, taking time along the way to visit world famous monuments such as the Red and Amber Forts and the magnificent Taj Mahal. While the distances may look relatively short, the bikes, Royal Enfield Bullet’s, and the condition of the roads will ensure a long day’s ride!
With drum brakes, gears on the right foot, rear brake on the left and
the need for kick-starting, the classic, much loved Royal Enfield Bullet
is still built and widely used in India, making our journey a truly unique
Indian experience.
“The SIA India: Rajasthan Motorcycle Challenge is bound to prove a
life-changing experience for everyone who takes part. As well as drinking in the sights, sounds and smells of such a fascinating country, each and every rider will also be able to celebrate the knowledge that they are also directly helping more than 40,000 people throughout the UK rebuild and change their lives after spinal cord injury”.
