Hello Snaphappy, We're actually a lot better off than you realise,
each year our town mayor raises money for charity typicaly between £2000 and £4000 and I've convinced him to donate HALF to MAWF if I do the TLD ride, the down side is that it will be 12 months before the donation is actualy made as his year in office only started four days ago,
the up side is that in 12 months time there will be about £1500 winging it's way to MAW and a chance to up the publicity for 2010, keep up the auctions, your doing an eccellant job of both raising money ond bumping the TLD profile
Cheers,
Moto Guzzi Stelvio ( red of course )
Honda XR 600, my new old toy - for sale
Aprilia rxv 450pile of scrap, got a refund

TLD 6/2009 five capitals 23hrs 21 min :-without taking "another route"
TLD 6/2010 Run For The Sun 15hrs 55 min all in
TLD 6/2011 Two Towers 14hrs 56 min leisurely bimble
Well done stuart, Good news, the lateness of the donation doesn't matter, MAWF is there for the long term. Right I'm off into town working as a Balloon modeller today. (and it's chucking it down)
Don't forget the 2K Whealie raised from Carole Nash, things are a lot better than they look. It's great all round.
Here's a thought, If we work for MAWF next year that will be a great donation for TLD 2010 total, if only someone would make a decision............![]()

I don't see it that way.
The £5,000 target was just a start. We made three times that and more last year. That's juts £100 sponsorship per rider, which ought to be a bare minimum.
I'd say the target would be to raise at least the same as last year, plus the corporate stuff.
