For those staying at Mortonhall campsite you could do a lot worse than the Stables Bar which in on-site. I myself am partial to the odd beer or two there when visiting friends who live over that side of town. In fact if everyone wants to get together it could be a good meeting place. Another alternative would be South Queensferry (Under the Forth Bridge) as it's common meeting place for bikers. South Queensferry is about 20 Mins from both Hotel and Campsite and would offer a good photo opportunity.
