The Leaving London on Friday 19th June Thread.

Right then. Who else is leaving London on the Friday to ride north in one hit. I'd like to get to Edinburgh mid afternoon ish -well, before 6pm anyhow as I dont fancy pitching a tent in the dark. Well, I know it wont be dark until 11pm but I'd still like to be settled in and cooking me dinner by 6pm.

So, are there any plans for a group meetup from the london area posssie?

Can we get a plan together? Venue, Timings?

I reckon calling an Ace Cafe breakfast would be good for all those in the area who want to travel with company

Re: The Leaving London on Friday 19th June Thread.

(I might live to regret this offer but..........) As always, all those passing are welcome to make a 5 minute detour for brews and bacon butty if travelling up the A1.

I am 10 minutes away from Scotch Corner. A66(M) signposted Darlington. It takes 5 minutes from the A1 and 5 minutes to get back on when refreshed. Don't worry, just on the outskirts of town. So no town traffic dramas!

Let me know if it is a stop people want to make and I'll have the kettle on and some bacon (or pasta if prefered at dinner time) in the pan for you!! Hey if there are any takers I'll even put up a few signs on lamp posts from the A1 for you so you don't get lost!!

3 hrs to edinburgh on a full stomach and cafeine will be a breeze.

    Just a thought.

i shall be in Edinburgh from Wednesday, so in the interest of the wellbeing of the longest day participants I shall research all the nearby pubs to find a suitable watering hole/ eatery for friday night................
