The following in an excerpt from an email I received from the Kent secretary of SERV.

''Also I know we don’t often get feedback from jobs so the following may
be of interest, I took a box of platelets to Medway and the lady in
pathology told me the platelets were for a young girl who has leukaemia
and had had a wish granted from the make a wish foundation to go to a
‘girls aloud’ gig on the Sunday and the platelets were to give her a
boost so she could enjoy the event.

Its good to know our services are helping others.

Lets hope we can raise a smile or three

I have just done a quick calc on the sponsors I have been able to get (not as big as some of you lot) and worked out on what I have on paper sponsors from friends and family and if everyone averages this plus the monies raised already by various peps on the TLD web site we will have Passed the magic £15,000 this does not include the money from Carol Nash or the the other bigger sponsors that some of you have been able to get. If we can keep the momentum going then we should be able to raise more than a quiet a few smiles

So lets keep going and get those last few sponsors to make an even bigger impact
