    TLD Accommodation

... just wanting to know where most people are staying on the Friday night. Travelling over from Ireland on Friday on my own (Norman no mates). So far know of:

Westend Travel Lodge - now looking £80 for the night
Mortonhall Campsite (or something) - not wanting to camp
    Station Hotel, Shotts
    HW University

..are people staying in other Hotels / B&Bs?

Not sure what sort of digs you are looking for but give me an idea and price range and I may be able to suggest something.

We´re staying in the Queensferry Hotel which is just the other side of the bridge from where people are due to meet on the Friday night. I booked it through laterooms.com for £50 without breakfast - I didn´t think they´d be up to make breakfast before we´re going to leave.

Pop in and see Gordon Brown. When he is not at number 10 he lives nearby. You may even get a bacon butty.

Check Out "Edinburgh First Accomodation " .
It is at the university of Edinburgh at the foot of Arthurs Seat . Good Location , 10 min from Carlton Hill . And only £20 a night ( breakfast included , but we leave to early ) . I think a few other riders are staying there .

    Re: TLD Accommodation

Just booked a bed at http://www.booking.accom.ed.ac.uk/BnB/Step1.aspx it's £20 for the night and close to the start point, what more can you ask for? I did find a place that does B&B for £11 but it's dormitory rooms, not great if we're getting up daft o'clock!
Just hope that there are other riders there so I don't sleep in...

Thx for all the suggestions. I'm now in the Queensferry Hotel - should allow for a few scoops at the gathering in South Queensferry and then early to bed

Ahh wrong side of the bridge my man. Its only about 3 miles over the bridge to your hotel. Watch you don't fall off.
