    Smile Final Item Charity Auction

The Auctioneer sat in the back room of the auction hall, he had decided to come out of retirement for one more charity Auction. He had one more item he hoped he could auction of in aid of MAWF. The last few days had been a hectic time for many, he wondered to himself now that peace & tranquillity was once again restored whether or not the inhabitants of planet XRV could deliver the goods one more time. TLD 2009 was just around the corner and the amount of money donated into the just giving website was continually rising. Also lots of money being raised offline. He wondered “will the mods move this post into the re-opened & edited (to remove off topic posts) Charity auction thread?”

The auction item was a wonderful piece of Biker bling, essential to any Biker who has a Bike Key. It needed to be done fairly pdq as the Auctioneer planned to go out with the curly haired General soon and book his summer holiday and this evening he had to do a show.

He sat at his desk looking at the Key holder, which can be mounted onto any wall, hoping, it can raise a few more quid for MAWF & prove to all we are back on track.

    Re: Final Item Charity Auction

The Auctioneer had left the Auction Hall briefly, obeying the orders of the curly haired General, he had just booked the family for 2 weeks in Turkey. On his return the sudden drop in his bank balance was forgotten. The Charity Auction was back on. Big big thanks to the Mods.

He took a firm grip of his gavel, feeling really pleased things were back to normal. Its time to raise some more money for MAWF. He reached the top of his Auctioneers podium, straightened his tie, tugged on his jacket lapels, coughed to clear his throat, hoping he hadn’t lost the “Knack”

“Ladies & Gentleman, welcome back to our Charity auction in aid of MAWF. We have received a wonderful piece of biker bling in the form of a Key holder/hook, which can be screwed onto a wall. This delightful item which can be seen below is an essential piece of kit for every Biker, never again will you have to look for your Bike key, it will always be here, assuming you actually hang it here in the first place.

May I remind you all that any one placing a bid qualifies for a free cuppa during TLD 2009 and delivery of all the items will take place during the weekend, bid well & dig deep it’s for a great cause.

I have an advanced bid of £10.00 from the Welsh valleys, £10.00 I’m bid do I hear £11.00?”

“£12.00 I’m bid, £12.00 for this excellent piece of kit do I hear £13.00?”

The auctioneer was chuffed to bits, it was good to know that XRV’ers were able to rise to the occasion & put things behind them for the common good.
