    Bike for Doc Law

Mods i know this is in the wronge section but please bear with it

ok as some of you are aware Doc Law needs a bike for the ride i have had a look around but not much to chose from at the mo i have found a BMW F650 Funduro but have no info about these does anyone know about these and if so would you think it would be ok for her. I think Wheelie has offered her his Spare(some peps have all the bikes it seams) AT but after talking to her last night she would only like to use this as a last option.

    Thanks derek

I reckon she'd be better off with a Transalp

The F650 fundero is similar to the one she had. Get the Transalp, Dobles have one on the front do not know the price but it may be worth a look. She sat on mine and could reach the floor fairly well and thought is was light enough.

theres a couple of f650's on ebay in her price range but she i think she is out of the country till monday i am going to send her a text and let her know.

I dont know if your AT will be anygood for her Whealie as she will need to get a restricter fitted on it worst case I will take her as a pillon with me.

I'm not sure what the budget is, but this baby looks stonking good value - 2003 KAWASAKI KLR650 KLR 650 on eBay, also, Kawasaki, Motorcycles Scooters, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 03-Jul-09 17:07:32 BST)

Having owned on of these I know they'll sit happily at 80mph for prolonged periods with intrusive vibes, My was ultra reliable (and still is as my son still runs it) the seat for me was a bit numb bum but then I'm a heavy weight Roslyn looks far more nimble , the only negative is the Tank Range (about 140 miles if mine was anything to go by)....and at 2300 miles its virtually a new bike

Forgot about the restricter requirements. She's so petite we can take turns to have her as pillion.

I have Starcom too so she can always bring her own ipod and listen to her own music.

Thats a good idea, before she misses out there's plenty of room

Not pillion for her: she'd go on her 250 if that meant she could ride. And the little bugger wouldn't let her down.

However, there now stands on her drive a fully-specced, low-mileage F650 ST in scarlet. Miss O'Hara has had one owner since new who changed the oil every 2,000 miles (?!), has full luggage, bars, Scottoiler, extended screen, heated grips (which need replacing) etc etc. Odd mix of TKC rear and road tyre front, but it's a lovely short, light bike.

I anticipate between the Doc's return from Lisbon on Monday night and setting off on Thurs, a volunteer in Sarf West London to sort out the grips or help with hand-muffs might be sought!
1997 Jag 3.2 Exec (jangly jangly!); two bicycles; 2001 XL 650 V-1 which is ready for anything, cuts through traffic like a hot knife through butter and just gets better and better and a low mileage Pan European ST1100
