    TLD participants' pictures

    Great craic, and an excellent ride. Thanks to Nick, Rob, Yvonne and everyone else who organised; a curse on Zumon, TomTom, Garmin and all their kind; apologies to the many families of flies who are now bereaved.

    I DID SIX CAPITALS!

    1997 Jag 3.2 Exec (jangly jangly!); two bicycles; 2001 XL 650 V-1 which is ready for anything, cuts through traffic like a hot knife through butter and just gets better and better and a low mileage Pan European ST1100

    HereŽs a couple I took:

    A couple of "Pinkies" in Edinburgh

    Outside the Make a Wish offices around 5:00pm

    Sleeping Beauty (Not!). On the return Ferry around 11pm.

    At the Millenium Stadium, Cardiff around 3:15am

    Some of the finishers at the Ace Cafe, London around 6:30am

    Some snaps from the day.

    I had a blast, especially the road to Rosslare. Fun, fun, fun

    Thanks to all of you who did such a good job of keeping an eye on me and making sure I was mostly facing in the the right direction

    Early morning Edinburgh, before it all begins

    Unmistakably Calton Hill, Edinburgh

    Unmistakably a car park in Troon

    Unmistakably.....a car park in Belfast

    The left overs after 30 hungry bikers had done their best

    It is so difficult to know what to wear to these things

    A quiet neighbourhood ruined

    More tropical than I had expected for the south east coast of Ireland

    It really was exhausting.......

    The strain was only occasionally evident

    Miss O'Hara makes her debut

    The happy riders

    The happy riders and me (thanks to DC)

    Thanks to all involved.

    here you are:
    Edinburgh....Belfast....Dublin GPO....Dublin (Carole nash - photo file's bust)....Cardiff (too dark for my camera)....and Ace Cafe. All locations and 4th into the Ace (I think). Disappointed I missed Moscow though.

    Re: TLD participants' pictures

    From a humble non-participant - just a few extra from the pre-start stage of the day (I'm posting now as may not have time later this week);
    Snaphappy, pleased to have made it with negligible delays;

    GrumpyOldGits bike surely deserved the title of best-event-preparation (+ personally, blasphemous as it is, Beakers KTM is awesome);

    and from the start line;

    It was a privilege to have spent some time with you all - never was a good nights sleep more deserved.
