Anybody got any tips on repainting engine side covers ?
Is there a good spray paint for this, or is it better to have shotblasted and anodised or something
Thanks.

AAAARRRRGGGHHH, don't even try to shot blast them, even sand blasting is a bit dodgy, they could be bead blasted, but they probably don't need it, unless you really need to strip off all the old paint just degrease thoughly and sand down any rough bits, as long as it's all sound there's no need to get every last bit off, you will need to "key" the surface of any remaining paint with fine emery paper, just so it goes matt.
Anodising would work, but is probably a bit over the top, the peeps wot do the anodising will prepare them, but a tin of paint's got to be much cheaper![]()
You really ought to be able to get a VHT paint from a car/ bike shop, just check whether you need a primer to seal the aluminium surface first (and don't forget this needs to be V high Temp too!
