Cable oiling tip if it helps anyone.

noticed my clutch action was a bit stiff over the weekend. Just fixed it - cable was quite dry, so disconnected at both ends, then taped some duct tape around the lever end to make a mini funnell.

then syringed some clean engine oil into the funnell and worked the cable in and out - did this a few times and then topped up and left for 10 mins.

Put it all back together, and its like new. no need for one of those cable oiler thingys.

Another tip: Lubrication can apparently react badly with teflon cable liners... So keep us posted how it's going in say a weeks time.

I've had very good results with cilicone or teflon based oil used in my bicycle cables.
