How long does it take to clean your bike?

I started on my TA on Sat morning, then needed to spend most of Sun on it too! Some of the mud/stuff was compressed in there sooo hard it must have been forming into rock!

I'm not talking cosmetic cleaning yet either, just moving mud off the bike so that doing bits won't cause more harm than good. Small stones are really good for piston ring life, I'm told!!

So, 2 days so far, but I'm not finished yet. All the plastics etc now need the mud off them, and all the bits need the correct lubes etc putting back on them!

Oh well, once every couple of years it needs to be done.

Apparently they're using some kind of new environmentally friendly semi-liquid grit on the roads around here....what an absolute beeyatch to get off that stuff is. I dread to think what that concoction is doing to our paintwork and sensitive bits...so to speak!

Aye - it seems that some councils are using a new grit mix that includes MOLASSES - treacle !! to try and make it stick to the roads better. It certainly sticks better to the bike and my car !!
    2011 Triumph Tiger 800 - "Black Pussy" - MMMM Nice !!!
    2000 Suzuki DRZ400S - "Ol' Yella" - very bright
    2011 Peugeot V-Clic 50cc - "Scoot" - It's my wife's, an enjoyable ride.

    I have a house , but I can't guarantee it's safe !!

Is it not amazing how easy we can hijack a straight forward serious post and transform it into rubbish

It's a skill honed to perfection over many years.

"Impressive" as The Dark Lord himself would say.
