Warm hands - for those with big paws and small muffs!

    Hello

i fitted some handlebar muffs to Tizer but found that with the hand protectors the muffs didn't fit right and were tight around the controls, particularly on the left side causing problems with the indicator switch and full beam switch!

to fix the problem i undid the stitching on the inside edge of the hand opening and re-joined it using a piece of tubing to keep them apart a large zip tie holds it all together with the 'head' of another zip-tie at the top to keep it on! i have also used the wing mirror mounting and the bolt through the bar end weight to hold all of it in place and now have full access to the controls and also nice toasty mitts into the bargain!

i know the description is a bit naff but the picture should show what i mean! The zip ties are big ones and the tubing is from a bottle of tyre gunge stuff (but anything will do!)

bad photo angle but there is more than enough room to get your thumb onto the indicators and the other controls!

    bar muffs

Good idea z-weiser, you've made a really good job of that.

There must be different versions of the muffs, mine can't cope with the plastic wind deflectors still inside. Yours look almost cavernous.

I'll definitely redo mine and try again.

nice and warm tho - i was worried that they woudl let the cold air in but it's fine and they are toasty warm - woudl be even better with heated grips!
