Khyam Biker Tent How much are they?

Been looking for a new tent since i do not want to drag this massive one around anymore. The Camping/outdoor shop near me is selling the Khyam for £125.
Must say quite fancy that one.Has anyone seen one cheaper or is this the going rate.
Next question would be. With tent, sleepingmats do you best loose your topbox and just strap it on the back when you travel with a pillion?
They call him "Ze Quiet one"
I listen to what the rice crispies tell me to do

Cannot comment on the Khyam tent's, they seem to get a good name from many on the forum, I went for a smaller/lighter Coleman ebay special & sacrificed quick errection.

Top boxes are handy but for ultimate waterproof, cheap, lightweight carrying capacity you can't beat a big roll sack strapped to the back.

Depends. If you allocate a pannier each for personal gear for you and your pillion, then the obvious stowage location for the camping gear is in your topbox. If you can't fit all the camping gear in your topbox then a roll sack is a good substitute. An advantage of the pannier/topbox combo is that it fixes an upper limit on your luggage. It may help promote more carefull thought as to what really needs to be taken. I tried this logic with my pillion last summer, but a 45 litre pannier wasn't enough so she commandeered the topbox as well and we left the tent at home.
It's not the age, it's the mileage...

Can't comment on the tent, m'lord, but ditch the top box and get an industrial strength bin bag and 2 bunjee cords. Job done. Lady Vader can lean against whatever you pile up and funnily enough(according to my own Lady Vader, swmbo etc...), it's more comfortable than the top box.

I think mine was about £100 from the BMF show. I bungee it across the rear rack if I have a pillion, seat if not. Not keen on topboxes, although I do have one if I need it.

Gerickes sell something similar for about £5 or £10. I got one for my Kyham Igloo when the bag finally split after many years use. I even stuff the sleeping bag and my boots in the thing on top of the tent.

I have the Kyham Biker... that sound about the right price, but get the special custom ground sheet with it as well.
Its a great tent.. it's up in minutes in the dark, cold, and wet which in my book is invaluable. It has a great porch for the bike stuff and sleeps two comfortably.
