    Sat Nav Mounting

I know a lot of people use satnavs of all types on this forum.

I'd like to use my tomtom one (new version) on the bike but i cant locate a mount.

I saw a bike the other day with a sort of perspex case with a Tomtom one (OLD version in it)..looked OK.

    Any suggestions....................................... .................................................. .........................

(If I put there I won't be able to see it now, will I)

    FOUND IT !!!! .........HERE http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Tom-Tom-One-Sl...QQcmdZViewItem

Thats the best position I could find for it unfortunately, so it'll have to do for now.

I think a precautionary elastic band may be in order

I dont know if Tomtom's are much good for finding some of the places people go to on this forum but I've got it in the cab (just for that rare senior moment ) so I thought it would be handy to be able to use it on the bike.

Now I can find my way back to that dealer to replace my dodgy CDI

Hmm, two things spring to mind. Since the Tomtom 1 is meant to be used inside a car it won't benefit from....

    1) the vibration of a bike (That eBay mount looks nifty, but it also looks like it might transfer all the shocks through to the Tomtom).
    2) being open to the weather (though a placcy bag & rubber band would keep most problems out.

(Don't take me for a Luddite though - I'm a great fan of using Tomtom on a bike, as I run TT5 on a pda which is enclosed in an Otter box).

I'll do the bag thing anyway I think......it could jump out of that mount.

I don't think vibes on my 'Alp are any where near the cab.......have you been in a London Cab recently......................

    Suspension would be nice

Still waddya want for 30 odd grand
