    Tourances vs TKC80

As Mabel may be wingeing about elsewhere I just popped out for an afternoon ride with our mate on his GSA along the Sarn Helen Road from the mountain centre to neath.

Found that the Tourances rode alot better and made progress far easier than the chunky continentals. We carried out several ford and river crossings evne up the steep river banks my GS1150 seemed to cope much better than the GSA with the big chunky tyres.

All in all a nice day out for green laneing like this definatley need something a bit lighter. The GS's were a bit too big.

    That's really interesting.
I found the Tourances rock solid on the road, very confidence inspiring, but the TKC's are awesome off-road, again I have complete confidence in them.

Some of the routes I've done on the AT with the TKC's on I wouldn't want to tackle on anything less.
Mind you I remember Boboneleg saying that a lot of off-road riding is about confidence, and I can see what he's saying there.

TKCs are much better when mud/soft going comes into the equation especially on the front. If it's dry/stony there is probably not much in it?
