Hello fellow @-ers,
Ever since I bought my bike I had some strange braking problems.
Whenever I would brake my lever would seize (I thinks that's the word, meaning it would not go any further) a little, and therefore brake only a little. When I would squeeze harder it would eventually shoot through the "obstruction" but offcourse cause sudden extra hard braking. This is a not desired effect![]()
But now the reason for this effect .... The head of the master cylinder was corroded. It had some rough edges on it and since the lever presses on it with great force, it could not overcome the edges unless pressing a lot harder and shooting over it.
Cleaned it this weekend and greased it up. Also greased up the lever pen, made al whole lot of difference. I can brake with 1 finger now![]()

Just wanted to share,
Jochen.
