    Feeling The Gear Shifter

I Have Just Bought A New Pair Of Motocross Boots And Am Now Having Problems Hooking Up To Second. The Boots Are That Stiff I Cant Feel The Shifter And I Am Having Problems Getting The Toe Of The Boot Under It. Should I Wait For The Boots To Soften Or Alter The Position Of The Gear Shifter?

Putting it up a notch won't hurt, if it doesn't work you can always put it back...

I have the gear lever set high on all my bikes, as i always wear MX boots. To change gear i have to lift my foot off the peg.(changing up, and changing down.)
If other people (with ordinary boots) ride my bikes they almost all find the lever too high.
You just get used to it.

And in the event of a flood you could save small children/pensioners by using them as rafts...........

I've got some new footpegs coming so I may be able to drop my shifter back down again, never moved the back brake down though as I ride on teh balls of my feet and the bottom of my boots is always in teh same place or so I thought............

I wear Alpinestars Vectors which is a bit like having both your lower legs and ankles in a plaster cast. I don't think they are designed to or will ever soften so I had no choice but to move the shifter. As said before you can always move it back if things change.
