Shell out some money on some Ortleib canoe bags - they come in various sizes and are more or less indestructible.

Or, spend less by going to an army surplus shop and get some 'Bergan Liners', which come in a very natty olive green, not as good as the ortleib bags, but cheap and cheerful, strong and waterproof. I intend to keep mine when I de-kit for the very same purpose..........

    3 TLD's done, (2009 + 2010 + 2011) - bring on 2012

When they kick at your front door How you gonna come?
With your hands on your head Or on the trigger of your gun
When the law break in How you gonna go?
Shot down on the pavement Or waiting on death row?.............

    Re: Aluminium Panniers

I have panniers made similar to the TT Zegas but with lift off lids.

I looked at the TT ones and as Airwolf says Tesco bags because they are made of the same cloth material. I had Honda inner bags on my previous panniers and wanted something substantial like these.

Looked at a local market stall selling millions of bags. I took the panniers and top box to the stall - tried some out and he took the dimensions back to his suppliers.

He managed to get me some very good case type bags with outer documernt pockets, handle and shoulder strap for £7 each. The are made from similar material as the Honda ones I had before.

Dimensions are 40cm long, 35cm high and 20cm wide. These fit my panniers perfectly.

Try the same as most stalls get them from the same suppliers

02 RD07a RWB, Powerbronze tall screen, Remus Grand Prix, TT crash bars, TT pannier frame, Zega style panniers, Alpos top box,TT bar risers, TT headlamp guard, Heated grips, mainstand, Heidenau K60s for road and light offroad, TKC80s for the dirty stuff, Scottoiler, Autocomm, TT Zumo mount, Zumo 550 and most of all A BIG GRIN !!! Oh, and a very nice RD04 HRC coloured Marathon Replica

The Touratech inner bags are about £37 each !!!!! OUCH!.

KTM branded ones - exactly the same item - but with a KTM logo instead of the TT logo are under £20 each.

The made to measure inner bags , whether TT or something else are well worth it for ease of use.
    2011 Triumph Tiger 800 - "Black Pussy" - MMMM Nice !!!
    2000 Suzuki DRZ400S - "Ol' Yella" - very bright
    2011 Peugeot V-Clic 50cc - "Scoot" - It's my wife's, an enjoyable ride.

    I have a house , but I can't guarantee it's safe !!

The KTM ones are what I've got (fitted the Alpos panniers well too) - I even use one as my carry-on luggage when flying

They call them LC4 Inner Pockets, and come in two sizes - 35-litre and 41-litre, both at £26 from www.dirtbikebook.com
