TA Clutch Cable adjust advise. (And tinking noise)

    Hi guys.

I had my clutch cable of reasontly and oiled it.(TA 2001)
I now have the cable back on. BUT.

I know how to adjust the top part of the cable so the bitting point is close to the bars and not at the end of the lever travel.

But I can't seam to get this set up right and my Changes seam Clunky.

Its obvious how to adjust the lower clutch cable nuts to move the cable tube closer to the clutch lever. BUT what effect does that have?

Also. I now have a little tinking noise coming from the Clutch area.

I think this is due to possibly two things. Clutch adjusted wrong.
And Its got to much oil in it. (Never trust a garage.)

    Any advise would be great.

    Cheers Guys.

With Shazzys TA I played aroud with the clutch adjusting nuts and found you don't have to move them very much for better control. moving the metal sleeve to the right disengages the clutch hence no drive. moving the sleeve to the left gives you clutch control. I play with the cable whilst the bike is jacked up.

Ah.... That might explain it. I think, looking at the colour of the thread that I might have put it back on to much to the Right.

    Cheers.
