Givi Keyless Luggage

Don't know if anyone can help, ive just got two new panniers well 2nd hand but never used! from ebay, however on one pannier it will not open on the combination lock and the seller doesnt recall resetting the codes, any ides or am i stuck with just the one opening lid?????

Standard 3/4 digit tumbler?

Get a small torch.
Shine it on the first number and look down the side, roll the first number until you see a line accross - behind the number.

Now do that with the other numbers.

If that doesn't do it rotate each number to it's opposite - i.e. add 5.

Never tried it on panniers but works on any suitcase/cheapo lock.

if all else fails mate, im pretty sure you can buy a replacment lid ?

combination is set at 000 from the factory
have you tried that

open them with the key, then you can reset the combination lock to what ever you want, from the inside. instructions from givi or find them online?

Feel very silly, i went out for the 1st time with my panniers, we realised one of the keyless flaps was opening with any combo, so i looked at the latch inside (used to reset the combo) and flicked it cos it was stuck. Then i forgot to check what the combo was on at this point, arrived at my destination and put the original combo in...hense i just lost the combo !,.....d'oh !

Lucky for me it was set to 700!! it only took 7 goes to get it, im glad i didnt go 1,2,3,!!
cheers for the info though - although i couldnt see any lines on the metal down the side of the tumblers!!
