    Re: Xenon Lights

Hi BTBloke. Yeah I was gonna take the bike out at night this weekend and take some photos of the light it gave out at night, and post up then in that other thread.

I bought a bike specific kit, and I gotta say, it was well worth the money in my opinion. I got the 6000K kit

which as you can see has a slight blue tint to it. The actual light it gives out is bright white, just that looking at the headlight from any sort of angle gives the impression of an ice blue. When filtering, I have noticed a huge amount of cars moving out of my to let me through, and I'm pretty sure it's not my overactive imagination .

At night the improvement over the stock 'Alp bulbs is immense, it gives a slightly wider spread, and the throw of light is much greater and also brighter. And I havent even tested out the high beam yet. I will try and get out soon at night and take some pics from the saddle to show what the light looks like, and I'll get some pics of the headlight from different angles so you can see the "ice blue" effect.

I'll also post here if anything goes wrong with it. Hope that helped .

    Okay, some pictures.

Firstly, heres the standard halogen headlight bulb viewed from the side:

    And after the conversion:

When viewed from some angles, the bulb gives off an Ice Blue tint, very handy when filtering in my opinion:

And a shot from front on:

Here is a picture of where the ballast box is mounted:

And the light viewed from the cockpit:

    Low Beam

    High Beam

Unfortunatly, these last 3 pictures really don't do it justice,I'm pretty sure it's to do with the basic camera I used, but hopefully these pictures will give you some idea of how much better it is than the standard headlight.
