    Best filter medium!

For example if a big baldie forum member was making a new filter for his vara with a re-useable filter element what would be the best thing to make it out of?

    1) foam (a la pipercross)
    2) oiled cotton (multiple layers of fine cotton)
    3) some other filter element - if so what!?

    thanks for input!

in answer to my own post . . . i have got my mitts on a chemical filter which can filter out particles as small as 10 microns

    (does that sound about right?!)

    will this be enough?

any technical bods please let me know!

the plan is to make the base of the filter out of aluminium and make the filter out of this filtery stuff - leaving me with a re-useable filter for mucho less cash than a pipercross or K&N!!
