    External thermometer

    hi there,

new member - looks like a great site!

Anyone recommend a good digital thermometer for external air temperature?

I bought a neat looking handlebar mounted analogue which looks sweet but is useless...

I ride a 2003 vara 1000 + like to ride all year round...

    best wishes,

    SR

GO TO RS Supplies and get there "ice alert" it only costs a few quid and has been faultless on mine as shown below.

I believe you meant RS Components and search for product code 408-6143, current price £8 + VAT.

    Looks good

Personally I have this sort of thing attached to the bars

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Fish-Aquarium-...d=p3286.c0.m14

Not this exact one. Waterproof, runs on a battery and easier to install.

Gives hot temps at standstill but when bike running along gives a fair idea of the air temperature

That looks okay, but I'd be concerned that the aquarium might affect the handling.
