    Scottoiler Reminder

Just a reminder to those of you with Scottoilers. If your stupid enough like me to let the resevoir run out of Scottoil and have to re - fill then re prime the system, remember to take it off of prime afterwards . If you don't it will empty the whole thing in less than 100 miles all over your chain, sprockets, swing arm and bike trousers . And the mess it dumped out from behind the front sprocket cover wasn't nice either .

It's been a very, very blonde day....

I located my reservoir under my left side panel on the Twin, then cut a circular hole in the panel, to be able to see the bottom of the tank at a glance. (One of my pre-ride check is to see the level). Keeps the rectifier cooler too!

Also never try and reprime using a footpump as the reservoire can explode sending shards of plastic and oil everywhere........errr, or so I've heard!
3 Africa Twins/280,000 miles. If it's happened to one of mine, it's gonna happen to one of yours.....eventually.

1 Varadero/17,000 miles ridden (of 40,000 miles on the bike), it's all still new to me!

Done that. Keeps the rust at bay for years afterwards! Good job brake discs and chains are never on the same side of the rear wheel.
