    Temperature gauge/light sensor

I thought I'd try here first....

I'm looking for a temperature switch (as opposed to sensor) that fits into the thermostat housing, to convert my un-faired Alp from a temperature gauge to a temperature light.
I reckon switching point needs to be somewhere between 110/115/120*c.

    A; I need a list of porular Honda's with a temperature light (eg vtr 250 )

B; A supplier of parts (automotive?) that may have something (cheaper than Honda... £35 for a Hornet one!)

C; If anyone has something kicking about that may fit.

    Cheers, Phil

    Hiya Phil, howya doing ?

I know you're looking for a switch rather than a temp sender, but if there is a sender kicking about or available you could just use a circuit set up as a voltage switch, eg ....http://www.zen22142.zen.co.uk/Circui...comparator.htm

    Cheers,

    Johnny

    Re: Temperature gauge/light sensor

    Cheers Johnny.

I'm now sorted - not quite as simple as I'd hoped tho!

The Deauville has a temp light, so I found a used DV thermo switch from ebay.

Trouble is the DV thermoswitch is slightly longer than the Alp thermo sensor, so wont fit in the Alps housing.
The DV thermostat housing lower (DV thermostat housing upper is totally different from the Alp's) will not fit the Transalp!

I ended up drilling through the threading on the Alps' lower housing to fit the DV thermo switch.

But then the thermostat wouldn't fit because the new longer thermoswitch was in the way!!!!!

    All sorted now tho.

    Pah, Honda
