    Hi snaphappy
I,ve got a carby but the more i think about it,it had to be something to do with up and down gears in rapid succession and maybe flooding or starving the carb, being a bricklayer all this oily stuff baffles me mortar not motor, shes running great now so fingers crossed.

    Re: Help vara cut out

Hi its all about flow and stuff the honda fuel pump is a bit weak so if your dragging lots of fuel into the carbs as in first gear stuff or overun in low gear and engine breaking then accelerating it some times is not enough especially at any altitude, The facet puts a bit more flow into it and as it was origionally built for small planes its pritty reliable.Lots of the fellows on the forum either fit them and avoid trouble or carry it as a spare for when the oem pump fails. As to the vara i think Vador may be the best place to start....cheers mel
