Gpsmap60csx garmin

JUST A QUICK QUESTION I RECENTLY bought one of these units and have put a 2 GB memry card in it. I have installed Metroquide v9 europe on my PC and wish to put all of uk and ireland on it but it won't accept all of it.

Does anyone know if i install it direct to the memory card using my card reader and then install the card to the gps if that would malke it work.

I'm assuming that the maps are being installed to the gps internal memory and not the memory card.

Anybody got any experience with garmin units and software??????????????

I have a Garmin 76 CSX which is quite similar and had the same problem when trying to load Topo Canada. I believe you may have reached the "segment ceiling" or the amount of maps or grids you are trying to load which I think is 2050. Maps will be stored in the 2GB memory SD card but if you have maxed out on the number of maps then all that remaining memory will be unused. I think thats how it works. Next time clic on the segments and leave out the areas or far corners that you know you will never visit.
