Getting a gel pack fitted to the seat.

I have just been in touch with C M as to the price of fitting a Gel pack under the seat lining and was suprised at the price £145 plus £50 for the gel pack itself. If anyone could advise me where I could get this done cheaper or a suitable modification which wont break the bank I would be most greatful.

    Stan,

I bought one from here http://www.danmedicasouth.co.uk/gelstore.htm some time back for around £30. They sell it with/without cover (I got without) and had a local trimmer (Ipswich) fit it for £20.
When he fitted mine, he took both the seat cover and foam off and cut a recess in the bottom of the foam so that the gel pad went onto the hard base. It kept the line of the seat better and it certainly made a huge difference to mine (I had lowered seat which was haaaarrrrddddd).

I used this guy http://www.smartrrrs.biz/ to fit gel pads to my Bandit seat. It was £40 for rider & £40 for passenger, which included the gel and the cutting/fitting to the seat. He did an excellent job - I went there on a Saturday morning (by appointment) and he did it while I waited

Thanks for the info, I've been in touch with them but the chaps had to go in for surgery so is not open till Jan but they look a far cheaper option.

    Thanks again.
