    Knee Pads

After my "off" doing the Strata Florida where I fell on my knee on to the rocks, I've decided that I need to get some knee pads sorted.

Can anyone recommend a make that are "all day" comfortable.

    Thanks
    Dave

These are pretty good, they stay in place and you feel invincible in them.

I really do not like the built in knee pads in bike jeans as they never seem to be in the right place, moveing around and stopping the touser leg from fitting properly!

How comfortable do you find these in a day to day situation on the road? They seem cheap enough I have to say.

Pretty good. I wear them under combat trousers for about 10 months of the year, my bike boots over the top of the trousers make sure they stay put. I've worn them all day when I go to site on a weekend and don't bother getting changed.

    Re: Knee Pads

These look like a great idea for warm weather riding but I'd like to have a bit of protection about the hips aswell. Is there any kind of hip protection that can be worn under a pair of jeans?

    Cheers

You can get armoured shorts which protect the hips and coccyx area.

Knox make them for fitting into a pocket sewn on the hip and I have seen a velcro mounted pad somewhere too.
