    Which Torque wrench

I need a torque wrench suitable for working on my bikes.

Which one do you use or can recommend?

    cheers, Bob.

    Re: Which Torque wrench

i got one from argos that was cheap and in the torque range i wanted. i had it tested at work for accuracy and its spot on.
the only trouble with it is its a little large and doesnt go down low enough for some specific jobs so a smaller one would be handy, but for sprockets, wheels, brake calipers etc its great.

you can get wrenches on ebay for quite good prices but get them tested as soon as you get them, it doesnt really matter if the dials are wrong but you must know by how much, so you can compensate. always remember to wind off the spring when youre finished, thats the biggest cause of inaccuracy.

go for the Teng tools 1/4" + 3/8" wrenches better quality than the halfords ones and also have an angle quage on the heads so you don't need to buy a separate angle guage

Do you recommend the metric click or the imperial powered click

It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?
