    Flat battery or dieing battery?

I haven’t used the bike for a few days and it’s been left in my cold damp garage. But this morning when I went to use it fires up 1st time them stalled then didn’t seem to have the strength to turn over again. I have already change the starter relay so I know it shouldn’t be that but I was wandering do the batteries die in cold damp weather if not used for a few days and is it worth investing in a new battery or just charge up the current one on slow charge for the next 24hrs?

If it's time for new battery where is the best/cheapest place to buy them from?

I'd charge the battery up first and make sure that all the connections are sound and corrosion free.

Batteries do not do so well in cold conditions, they are after all a chemical reaction and one that slows down when the temperature is low.

Not sure where to get a battery from, other than the usual places like Wemoto etc.

It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?

A battery in good condition shouldn't struggle too much after only two days. Like Lutin says charge it up, clean the connections and the main earth and then try it. Mine manages to start if I leave it for over three weeks, however if it's going to be left for longer I'll leave it on an optimate.

Hmm I just remembered I cracked the NEG terminal a few months back when over tightening so I suppose that doesn’t really help. I'll take the battery off and charge over night since will need the bike running to take it to HONDA on Thursday since need to fit new Mono-shock and fork springs and don’t really fancy pushing all the way there..
