Probably too long to wait until the next sale, but I have been using an Aldi one for a cuppla years, admittedly not outside per se, but not far off in one of the farm buildings!

I use an Oxford one when I'm parked up at work. It does the job, keeps the water out, but when it is soaking it is a nightmare to store and dry, once off the bike the water seems to flood the inside so you can't really use it again until it dries off .

    Re: Outdoor bike covers.

Yeah I've got one of them as well - my bike lives outside and is always wet, even under the cover, if its been raining - I dont mind that as much, the real reason for the cover is to keep the frost off and as much of the water as possible as my TT seat tends to dribble water down the indise of my right leg when I first sit on it! For solving those 2 problems the Oxford is fine - mine was for 'Large' bikes but it's not 'large' enough - I need one for XXL bikes as it only goes as far down as the front edge of the front mudguard, under the rear foot pegs and under the reg plate - the wheels/discs are still exposed. It does have a bungy cord and eyelets to fasten it down which work well (with the addition of a longer bungy as the original was too short). It also has some natty mesh vents in the handle bar area which are fine in the dry, but as soon as they get wet they 'stick' together and do nowt........

I would invest in a bigger, better version next time, but like I said - for the reasons I bought it, it does the job.

    Re: Outdoor bike covers.

I recently bought the HG Typhoon cover in large, in silver. £35

Been fully water proof so far, I'm pleased with it, heavy fabric (don't blow around), lined, vents, under strap and lock hoops etc.

Fits my TA 700 fine, even with the top box on, exposes the bottom of the wheels a little, which some plastic wrapped around sorts out.

The only down side was the elasticated bottom scratched my new screen when fitting/removing a few times, until I noticed that is.
    The silver colour's bright enough

Have a quick look at last months Ride magazine, they tested them. I haven't got it with me and can't remember which one won.
