    Tool Tube Ops Canister

I bought a couple of tool tubes from Kitped when he brought the last batch.

I also called in to an agricultural merchants (on the A6 at Darley Dale just north of Matlock) and asked about them. They called them Ops canisters and I bought one. They charged me £15:00 for it.

I have uploaded pictures of both the tool tube and the canister. The Ops canister is slightly larger and is fixed with a couple of bands that strap round the whole thing (like some end cans mount).

They are a John Dere product and there is a part or stock number on the lable stuck to it. AN241471

I am currently collecting bits for the @ and have not fitted them yet.

just in case you needed any ideas on how to mount it.............

I cut a groove in the mounting feet and cut them down, the u-bolt bracket has a central web across from each side inside the feet to stop any forward movement. The u-bolts clamp it tight to take the weight of the tools.

got to finish it off with some plastic end caps on the u bolts and remake the bracket as this one's a prototype. it went to the national and back ok, can get a huge amount of tools in it and it's perfectly air tight.

Thats really good thanks. I have been trawling the photoalbum to see if there were any images of your bike with it fitted. I have some Givi tubular frames yet to be fitted and some Peli cases to mount on them. Thanks.
