Hi Guys & Gals,

Can any of you in Ireland offer some helpful advice?

My 18 year old son lives in rural West Cork and has been riding a Chinese 125 to and from his school in Bantry for the last two years.

Quinn Direct have been insuring his riding.

Now 18 years old, he is entitled to an A(restricted) licence, so he is about to get a restricted 400cc to ride.

The problem is that Quinn Direct refuse to quote for the 400cc machine.

Aon have been contacted and quoted €3,700 ...!

Now, I ain't been living in Ireland for the last six months ... have prices really shot up that much?

Any suggestions or leads to reasonable insurance will be greatly appreciated.

Prices are always that high! And if Quinn wont quote he's screwed!!
