HG have their hotgrips on offer at £40. Has anyone used them?

I have them fitted to my RD04. They do just what they are meant to - nice toasty hands

I've heard reports of other electronic control grips (Oxford) cutting out at tickover but these have been absolutely fine.

I've just order a pair from that web site for a mate, dreadful service took 10 days to arrive, the box was covered in dust and the labels were ripped off, made in Japan and the instructions in German, and no inline fuse.

I've got Oxford hot grips on my Dommi and my 1200 bandit, both work fine and have never cut out.

If you want to read more about H-G grip go to

..although those are the old model. In fact that's the model I was after but I couldn't find them anywhere. I had a pair on my ZX9-R and they were superb. The new HG grips are totally different and have the digital controller.

I walked into a shop and bought mine over the counter. The box was shiny and clean and everything I needed was in the pack

The heated grips i received on wednesday are the same as the ones on the VFR web site, not the ones shown and ordered on sparklymarkly's link.

So i've got the old ones then Alan, hence the dust and ripped labels.

I'm not going tell my mate, he's started to fit them to his transalp.

    Thanks Alan.......Rgds Jeff.

The old ones? Lucky sod. They're brilliant. Well worth the 10 days wait and the shoddy box

Bloke in the Heine Gericke shop I went into said buy the Oxford ones as he's had a few returns with their own brand. The Oxford digital ones are very good although Ive had the older style as well and never had any problems. They are hotter than the Honda stuff as they are only a partial wrapping of the heater element where the oxford ones are all the way round. . .

Mixed reviews on the HGs then it seems?
Most folk seem to rate the Oxfords & they have a 2yr guarantee, so I might consider them instead.

I bought a pair of Busters Tech 7 Heated Grips at the NEC Bike show for my girlfriends bike for £22. Fitted them the other day and they seem nice and warm and came with everything I needed to get the job done easily and well inside half an hour.

They're now on offer at £19.99...plus if you use the magic xrv code you'll get an extra 5 or 10% off that already cheap price

Cheers Robster - I'll check them out.
Shame I'm still waiting for something from Busters - could've saved carriage!
So far it's taken them 11 days to send my parcel from Wales!
I ordered some mirror extenders off Ebay the other day; they were shipped from Hong Kong and arrived in 5 days!!
