    Pannier Pucks- How do they work?

    Errmmm.... I´ve seen these, and heard people talking about them, but can someone explain how they fit onto the pannier rails?

    It's simple enough... the pucks are the round things you can see here:



    And they fit into the loop of the rack to keep the pannier in position. each puck has a flat bar coming from it that holds the pannier onto the rack. Usually the bottom ones are fixed and point directly down and the top ones are loose so the pannier can be fitted on to the rack and they are then tightened by some kind of manual screw or butterfly nut.
