They're local to me so I tend to buy everything from there. They used to be called Watford Electronics before they were bought out about 2 years ago..

Any reviews/reports on quality? Very tempted to buy one.

Re: mini cam ideal for bike use

Ive got one on test at the moment from Work - will try to post a video from it on Youtube if it can be linked here.

I cliped it onto my high vis vest pocket which wasnt ideal as it flapped about a bit but quality was spot on and you could hear the engine noise fine over the wind noise which was much better than expected.

These do come with an accessory pack as an option - £80 without from most and £20 for teh accessories which are a helmet strap and arm band - there is also a kind of condom for weather proofing. Should also come with a cradle and clip, the cradle can either be screwed onto something or use the double sided sticker included to attach it - the camera then clips onto this with a bulldog type clip, not overly secure for onbike use i reckon but ok for light use.

Charges straight from USB after youve downloaded youre movie. MicroSD cards it uses are pretty cheap per GB as used in majority of mobile phones now. Quick download etc and reliable when shaken on bike.

Dont need any software as windows explorer can play it straight from the camera/card - doesnt seem to be simple at first as youve got no guide or workflow but find it and your there - needs a combination of turning the unit on with the sound off blah blah, small issue.

Also has a feature of Sound Activation Recording which is handy if you need a security camera, not so sure of its real use though.

The only catch I could see is the small lens getting dirty quickly as it would only take one drop of rain/muck to block it.

Obviously no lcd screen for playback but there are handheld devices for playback out there like the Vosonic VP5500 or Archos players.

If you havent guessed - Im a product manager for a website that sells products like these so its my job to source gadgets for you lot to play with - this is a good one alright.

Tip - ive seen it on eBay for £60 on its own with no card, cards are about £20 for 4GB Sandisk Ultra II (needs a class 4 card). Not os sure about warranty from these sources but not a great saving either so unless you have a card get it from the usual source.

If you want to ask I will tell you my place but not advertising, just info.
TA700 2010 - Givi full set, Centre Stand, Scotoiller with LubeTube, Honda Tall Screen, Givi Crashbars, OEM Heated Grips, Fenda Extenda, Bar Risers, SSteel Spokes, Arrow Race-Tech DarkLine Exhaust, even bigger smile!!

TLD 2010 - 600 miles, 18 hours travelling, 4 hours sleep and no pint of guinness!! Must go back for that....
