About motor oils , I am confused about how to test the current on my engine.

When the oil its new , it has that slippery feeling , when you have it on your fingers .

By the time , it looses that slippery feeling , even sooner than the programed oil exchange .

I wish to was a method , to see with your eyes , if the motor oil needs exchange or not .

The ARAL motor oil , lost that slippery feeling , very fast .

One way is put a drop between your finger and thumb and see how far they can open before the oil separates.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

What I tried so far, was rubbing finger and thumb , that why I speak about slippery feeling .

My engine does not burn even a drop of oil , so the level are always toped.
The Oil it self, looks just a bit dark , with out looking dirty .

Thats Oils specs , that an oil must have ... the point is who makes the tests,
that those products , truly comply.

I have long time to see , a true & fresh motor oil review.

Ive used ROK oil semi for a few years now and had no probs, had to top up the oil the other day and had to use HALFORDS 10/40 semi DIESEL OIL Oh how I can now hear some of you weeping at my ineptness and mechanical sympathy.
But to my defence Ive had no problems at all with it, so its staying there until I do my next oil and filter change next month.

    Diesel oil

The truth is that all engines haves the same need , just need some oil in them.

The manufacturers as helping guide , they just add labels on the boxes.
Specifying the engine type , making the selection easier.

As long all motor oils has the same base , they are all alike .

Still there is a Tip , get old productions of motor oil if possible ...
The new ones comes from recycled oil , that haves less life spam .

I do not know what oil does in Scotland , But in Greece it becomes like water .... 25C - 35C average temps .

Thats why , we use only 15-50W at anything over 200cc .

I've never seen oil go like that before, but then the temprature only rises above -5 two days a year in Scotland
