    Re: SJ spec 10/40 oil

Ok I've been getting carried away with the oil selection !!!!

The first article on oil, here blew me away then I came across a simplified version which got me back on track. Then I found an post in horizons which was very interesting.

This is worse than the wife choosing a pudding, , the mineral oil has a higher API rating than the manual requirement and has a (older) JASO spec which is not mentioned in the manual.

Mineral oil has my vote plus I need to get a couple of other supplies from DS.

I hope the links are of interest to you.....

Thumbs up Re: SJ spec 10/40 oil

Alba,You've certainly outdone all of our expectations, now no one has an excuse not to get fully informed about the important properties of oil and where to get the right one, mind you i'm wondering if i'm more confused now about oil than ever, your final post should include the definitive oil, the choice will be yours and we will follow!
