Hi everyone my computer packed up and i have got a secondhand replacement.I have installed Mapsource Map installer 61516.exe from the garmin website but when i try to install City select or Map update the setup will not install from the disc.I keep getting the message install from C D .Is there any other way to get me up and running again.Francis

The garmin MAPSOURCE download is an upgrade only in other words you can't install it without the original CD's
Do you have the discs? If so what version are they?

Hi Kymmy the City select Europe v6 is version 6.The Map update 2008 City Navigator Europe NT is Rev A.When i try to install Mapsource from City select i click on the setup icon and the install begins a few minutes later a message appears saying "Install from setup C.D. I installed Mapsource on my other Computer no problem i cannot understand why it will not install the only other Disc i have is the Garmin owners manual.Any help would be great.Francis

I read on another forum Mapsource does not work with Windows Vista is this true.Francis

No not true i have mapsource running on Vista and XP with no problems. If you mapsource is not the latest one install it anyway and then click on updates and it will update to current version.Originally Posted by fw750x

im sure you can download mapsource from garmin for free, dont know if its the whole thing or just an ugdate but they are up to 6.15.6 now. you can also download earlier versions because either the latest or the last but 1 version keeps freezing apparently, people have rolled back. lots of info on www.zumoforums.com
i run 6.15.4 on my zumo with no probs at all
