    Gear indicator

    OK guys theres got to be someone here who can cobble a gear indicator together that just lets you know you,re in top!!!!! and we can all copy it and not pay a fortune.

    Buy a suzuki, their riders need a gear counter i reckon as a lot of em had em as standard.i could see the point on the RE5 rotary, but surely you can tell what gear you are in just by looking at the rev counter and speedo

    Yep i agree Merv but it only seems to happen when i drop down a couple of gears and then go back up thats where i loose count maybe i should have listerned more in MATHS
    Its not the end of the world but if they can have one for neutral why not top????? maybe i,m getting old and a bit mental

    Pull clutch, try to gear up, if you can't your in top

    Saying that, i do have a gear indicator (on bike when i bought it) and it's quite usefull actually
    874 Miles in one day...need a bit of a rest first!

    You'd have to fit a microswitch in the casing which was turned on by a lobe on the selector drum end, but as most people say why would you need one.. It's so simple to just pop your foot up one more time..

    After looking at whats out there i think i,ll stick to the foot method!!! all those wires errrrrr people you got to remember i,m a bricky and theres only so much you can do with a lump hammer and chisel
