    Decreasing fuel performance

Iv'e just done a 2000+ odd mile journey with my Heavily laden KTM Adventure and nociced a gradual worsening fuel performance along the way.
At the start of the journey I was managing to cover about 175 miles before the fuel light came on and towards the end of the trip I was coming on at about 150 miles. Does anyone have any theory's here and No I wasn't eating lots of burgers along the way

Check the tyre pressure, if they are quite low then this could cause you to use more fuel, 2000 miles without checking pressure in tyres is a long time especially fully laden with a lot of weight. Check the brakes, are they slightly sticking for some reason? Did you cover a lot of flat ground to start with then hilly regions towards the end? Have you checked for a small fuel leak?

I would just do a full check of the bike including chain etc to make sure everything is at the right tension etc then go for a bimble and check what mileage you get.

all i can think of at the moment.
874 Miles in one day...need a bit of a rest first!

Tyre pressure, dirty air filter, some countries have lower rated fuels or simply higher altitude (or even warmer/colder weather) can all effect mpg figures

As above I would check the Air Filter and tyre pressures.
Does the bike need a service?
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

    Who me??
It was an awesome trip by the way. I rode to the Italian Alps to shoot a job with Redbull. I'll check the consumption now im back with regular fuel and no altitudes to come into play. It was serviced just before I left so I'm hoping its not the airfilter or plugs. I'll check the tyres and for fuel leaks and keep you posted. I'm thinking of riding to the Lake district sometime soon. Fancy a catch up Stan
