Screen Vibes

For weeks I have had an annoying rattling and have eventually traced it. Its a 700 Transalp. It was not the bolts on the heat shield on exhaust this time
Its the screen, but all fixings are tight and its original and never been off.
Whats best way to cure?
My high tech solution ( a rag wedged in between instruments and lights aint pretty. ) Would removing it and adding fibre washers or similar just allow it to shake to death??

Minor I know and out of town you dont hear it but in town its driving me mad

Obvious answer is not to do town riding but I need to go home at some point guys.

I am sure there is a simple answer here?

Or is this my excuse to tell my wife its knackered an I should look at that Tiger

If you need to pack it out slightly, why not use draft excluder from a local DIY store and put it along the edge of the instruments behind the screen.
