Swap the cables over as they come out the controller towards the grips. At least that will give you an indication as to whether its the controller or the actual grip that's at fault. I know someone that 'may' have a spare (older style) controller if its that.

You can buy spare grips from Oxford but they are expensive.

    Re: heated grip problem

Don't the oxfords have a lifetime garantee/ or does it depend on the model/
I sent my controller back through busters and they sent me a brand new digital controller within the week.

    Re: heated grip problem

cheers for the advice guys... its always on the level.. i've got the older type dial control on the bike it was already fitted i actually prefer those type as they can be switched on or off or adjusted safely while your moving

i'll try what you said boris as it will narrow the fault down to either the controller or the actual grip itself which would be preferable

and thanks for the pm rover i might contact them and see if they can just send me a replacement grip

a lifetime gaurantee would be handy ritch, but everytime i've tried to use that they usually manage to get out of it somehow(it was the end of the grip's life etc)

    Re: heated grip problem

If you buy a new set of grips you could connect them to the controller and if it is broken use the new one, just make sure you have one LFET hand and one RIGHT hand grip.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

they are the newer LED type but the whole kit is under £50 so maybe i can just get another grip from the address that rover sent me

    Re: heated grip problem

Sorry to hijack the post, but this reminded me I must get some heated grips on the @. I have fitted them to other bikes without difficulty, but is there a switched live anyone recommends using? . The grips I will be using are the "nob" style Oxforde grips- so don't want to be installed directly from the battery- unlike the new ones

    Thanks in advance

    Re: heated grip problem

Rod,I used the supply to the rear brake switch for mine. That way you have a short run from the battery to a relay under the right hand side cover.
