Is it not just held in by a cir-clip that pushes it against a rubber 'o' ring? some are from what I can remember.......
its possible to prise out the remains of the old material, just wondered if anyone does the replacment glass/plastic?.
Only got this one link in the US:
Replacement Sight Glass Lens for your Brake or Clutch Master Cylinder by New River Cycle Salvage
I'm sure someone in the UK must do it.
Interesting option here: http://wiki.sabmagfaq.org/Site_glass_replacement
...and a supplier for that option: http://www.agtshop.co.uk/acatalog/Fl...l_Glasses.html

Found local clock/watch repairer in the Yellow pages.
He had in stock a piece of 16.80mm mineral glass.Bit pricey at £7.50
I used a 2 part epoxy and turned out a nylon ring on the lathe.
Glued in glass using masking tape on an allen bolt head with a twisting motion to spread and seat the glue and the pressed in the nylon ring
No leaks,jobs a good un.
Maybe one for bodgers corner???.
Cool. Post a photo then![]()
