I have a pair of HG Rally Goretex boots that I use for everyday commuting etc and a pair of "No Fear" MX boots for offroad use.

The MX boots are like wearing plaster casts as someone has already said , but that is how they preserve you ankles and ligaments in the event of an off.

I would not wear the MX boots for road use ever !! no control over fine movements and gear changes are difficult.

It's horses for courses in my opinion.
    2011 Triumph Tiger 800 - "Black Pussy" - MMMM Nice !!!
    2000 Suzuki DRZ400S - "Ol' Yella" - very bright
    2011 Peugeot V-Clic 50cc - "Scoot" - It's my wife's, an enjoyable ride.

    I have a house , but I can't guarantee it's safe !!

But find my textile trousers (which I tend to always wear) don’t fit inside them comfortably so end up using my AlpineStar waterproof ankle ridge boots all year. So sadly the MX boots only get used in summer over leathers on warm days. (Not very often)

So do most people wear then inside or outsides there textile trousers or are my legs just too fat for MX boots?
i wear HG textiles outside so the rain doesnt run into the boots. when its warm my leather trousers wont fit over the boots so they must go inside, my usual trousers, hardas jeans, go outside.
