    Original Xena disk lock woes

Hi Guys, I have an original xena disk lock (black and yellow not sexy rounded silver) and It fits the bike, but batts are dud (hmm last few years sat in a box)

Anyone know how to extracate the now defunct batteries? there looks like a small hole in the curve but as it has a range of sensors I didn't want to try and shove a range of allen keys etc down there not straight away at least!

It must be about 6 or 7 years old now and I've never changed them, but worst case it still works as a disk lock, but it would be nice to have a noise it it is cheap/ easy enough to sort.

    Thanks in advance.

if its the same as my Xn14 there is a small allen head bolt at the bottom of that hole that holds the battery cover on. 3mm I think. The batteries are held in a small battery holder that slides out one way or another once you have got the cover off - I always struggle. Look out for the weatherproof gasket too. Mine takes 6 small button batteries (can't remember size) but its LOADS cheaper to get either on line or at your local market rather than in a supermarket of newsagent.

Thanks Austin, it's in bits and apart from a little dried battery leakage (at some point over the last few years) it seems okay, I'll order 6 L1154's (online) and give it a whirl (worth the couple of quid on the new batteries gamble)

If it doesn't work you can send the surplus batteries my way

Austin, I've ordered 20 for £2 something inc p&p, I think you might be able to buy your own
If they don't work I'll save them for a day
